After nearly a decade of creating video software as Beyond Reality Games the company has rebranded its self as Clockwork Games.
This refreshing face lift was inspired by new opportunities being offered to us through existing and new publishing partners along with the ability to self publish casual games direct with the hardware manufacturers.
The company still owns and maintains all of its own technologies such as 'Prophet' for rendering and 'Messiah' for real world physics, along with its publisher and developer relationships.
The core business of Clockwork Games was founded by two industry veterans during May 2002 in Norwich. Having over 30 years of combined industry experience directors and programmers Gavin Harwood and Martin Cook bring professionalism, reliability and quality to any contract that is taken on by the company.
Since its inception the company has worked with various developers and publishers in the UK and US and has been solely responsible for the design, development and QA of over fifteen products across various platforms. As a company the team has vast experience in conversions, original titles and also licensed titles.
Over the years the business has steadily grown in size and reputation while acquiring developer status with all the major hardware manufacturers such as Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and Apple.
In June 2006 the company changed its working ethos and started working with publishers directly. Since then the company has produced a number of titles across various platforms using its own internally developed and maintained cross platform development system called 'Prophet'.
During 2009 the company designed and started development of its own real world physics system which would work in unison with the companies rendering API's. In January 2010 the cross platform physics system called 'Messiah' was completed and went into mainstream use in house.
Due to the benefits of cross platform development that our API's deliver, the 'Prophet' game engine has been used in over 50 titles by numerous developers worldwide.
